Credentials: MBA in Hospitality Management (Les Roches, Switzerland), 15+ years in luxury resort development with Juara Holding Group.
Bio: Aria’s vision is the driving force behind Padar Island. With a career spent developing some of Southeast Asia’s most acclaimed luxury properties, he saw an opportunity to bring a new level of sophistication and sustainable practice to the Komodo region. A native of Indonesia with a deep love for its eastern islands, Aria splits his time between Jakarta and Labuan Bajo, personally overseeing our strategic partnerships and ensuring our operations reflect the highest global standards of luxury and environmental stewardship.
I Gede Susila
Head of Operations, Flores
Credentials: PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, STCW Certified, Certified Komodo National Park Guide (HPI), 20+ years navigating the Komodo Archipelago.
Bio: Gede is the heart of our on-the-ground operations. Born and raised in Flores, the waters of Komodo are his backyard. There is no current, no hidden cove, and no weather pattern he doesn’t know intimately. Gede began his career as a dive guide and boat captain, and his encyclopedic knowledge of marine life and park topography is unparalleled. He manages our entire fleet, crew, and guide team in Labuan Bajo, ensuring every journey, from a day tour to Padar Island to a week-long liveaboard, is executed with flawless precision and safety.
Dr. Rina Kartika
Conservation & Sustainability Lead
Credentials: Ph.D. in Marine Biology (Institut Pertanian Bogor), former field researcher with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Indonesia.
Bio: Dr. Rina guides our conscience. She is responsible for developing and implementing our comprehensive sustainability policies, from our zero single-use plastic initiative to our community empowerment programs. She liaises directly with the Komodo National Park Authority (Balai Taman Nasional Komodo) and our conservation partners like the Komodo Survival Program. Rina ensures our tours are not just enjoyable but educational, providing guests with a deep understanding of the conservation challenges and successes within this vital UNESCO World Heritage site.

Credentials: Certified Travel Associate (CTA), 10 years experience with Virtuoso and luxury travel agencies in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Bio: Isabelle is the architect of your adventure. With a background in crafting bespoke itineraries for the world’s most discerning travelers, she understands that true luxury is personal. Isabelle designs every aspect of our guest experiences, from the thread count of the linens on our liveaboards to the timing of the Padar Island trek for the perfect sunrise light.
